Medical Assistant

Our Medical Assistant (MA) is key in assisting the physician with basic patient care and medical procedures and should be familiar with EMRs are other technology. They will help establish relationships with our patients.

Responsibilities - Clinical

  • Take vitals, EKG, and blood. Assist patients with cardiac monitor, sleep study, and other diagnostics
  • Obtain medical history and properly record it in the EMR
  • Triage patients in a timely manner
  • Navigate an electronic medical record

Qualifications

  • 2-3 years of experience
  • Must have a certification from an accredited institution
  • Bilingual (Spanish) preferred

Patient Care Coordinator

Our Patient Care Coordinators (PCC) are responsible for providing an excellent, courteous, and efficient experience for our patients. Our practice is seeking highly motivated, enthusiastic, and professional individuals to fill the Patient Care Coordinator position.

Responsibilities - Administrative

  • Check patients in/out
  • Perform patient registration process
  • Answer phone calls
  • Schedule patients’ office visits/cardiac testing
  • Notify the practice manager of any issues or wait times

Responsibilities - EMR & Technology

  • Manage multiple physician calendars with EMR & Outlook
  • Scan, upload, and attach documents to patient charts
  • Entering patient information in an EMR

Echo/Vascular Ultrasound Technician

Using the latest advances in imaging technology and our bespoke protocols, our Non-Invasive Cardiology Service provides diagnosis and treatment to help patients move from baseline to optimal health.

Responsibilities

  • Perform echocardiogram, stress echocardiogram, carotid ultrasound, carotid IMT, abdominal aortic ultrasound, lower extremity arterial ultrasound, and lower extremity venous ultrasound
  • Obtain consistent high-quality images according to protocol
  • Accurately pre-read studies

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited ultrasound program
  • RDCS Certification
  • Experience and competence in performing echocardiograms, carotid ultrasounds
  • Experience and competency performing stress echocardiograms, abdominal aortic ultrasounds, lower extremity arterial ultrasounds, lower extremity venous ultrasounds

Exercise Physiologist

Movement and exercise are foundational elements of our custom programs. Our Exercise Physiologist (EP) collaborates with physicians and other practitioners to create a one size fits one program for each patient based on their needs, abilities, and desired outcomes. Our exercise physiologist combines clinical knowledge, real-time observation, and diagnostic feedback to optimize programs as our patient’s behaviors and capabilities change.

Responsibilities - Program Development

  • Work with physicians, registered dieticians, and health psychologists to create integrated programs
  • Develop individualized exercise programs to improve patient’s strength,flexibility, endurance, and aerobic functioning, in accordance with exercise science standards, regulatory requirements, and credentialing requirements
  • Interpret exercise program participant data to evaluate progress or identify needed program changes

Responsibilities - Patient Interaction

  • Explain exercise program or physiological testing procedures to patients
  • Demonstrate correct use of exercise equipment or performance of exercise routines
  • Coach patients through their exercise programs
  • Conduct group classes

Responsibilities - Clinical

  • Conduct exercise stress tests under physician supervision
  • Conduct quantitative fitness assessments
  • Interpret DEXA scans
  • Provide clinical oversight of exercise for patients at all risk levels

Registered Dietitian

Our Registered Dietitian will support Manhattan Cardiovascular Associates and Apollo 360 Health in focusing on diet, lifestyle, and behavioral modifications in the prevention and improvement of heart disease. As part of a multidisciplinary care team, the Registered Dietitian will provide consultation and education to patients managing or at risk of heart disease and related cardiac and cardiometabolic conditions.

The Registered Dietitian will report to the Medical Director in an outpatient setting, including telehealth. The Registered Dietitian will develop, document, track, and evaluate nutrition plans, coordinate treatment plans, and monitor outcomes closely with physicians.

Responsibilities - Clinical

  • Will work directly with cardiologists and the medical director
  • Able to use evidence-based nutritional interventions to treat and prevent cardiovascular disease, translated through food and with behavior change techniques
  • Completes nutrition assessments and reassessments, including documentation of changes in medical/nutritional progression or regression
  • Provides nutritional care under the physician’s plan of treatment, accepted standards, department policies and procedures, and the comprehensive care plan
  • Leading one-on-one and group classes

Health Psychologist

  • Improve patient health, vitality, and well-being by overcoming limiting beliefs and engaging in behaviors that have been proven to improve health and prevent disease
  • Create a foundation in mindfulness practice, coaching patients to become more aware and empowered regarding their conditioned behaviors, habits, and choices at the moment
